Aggregates haulage, coming Summer 2026.
A marketplace built for tipper and grab operators moving crushed stone, sand, gravel, sub-base and recycled aggregates across UK construction sites.
The challenge
What we're solving for aggregates
Shippers struggle to find compliant tipper operators at short notice — especially for multi-site projects needing coordinated deliveries.
FORS accreditation is increasingly required by main contractors, but verifying it manually before each booking is time-consuming.
Empty backhauls from delivery sites waste fuel and cut margins — there's no efficient way to match empty vehicles with nearby loads.
Vehicle types
Typical vehicles for aggregates
8-wheel Tipper
Standard for aggregates. 20–30 tonne payloads. Suited to quarry-to-site runs and urban deliveries.
Artic Tipper
High-capacity deliveries. 30–40 tonne payloads. Ideal for bulk sub-base, MOT Type 1, and large-scale civil engineering.
Grab Lorry
Self-loading grab for loose material. Ideal where a 360 excavator isn't available — sub-base, topsoil, sand.
Compliance
Compliance requirements
BulkMatch will verify all of these at haulier sign-up and re-verify at renewal.
Operator Licence (O-Licence)
Mandatory for any vehicle over 3.5 tonnes GVW operating commercially. Issued by the Traffic Commissioner. BulkMatch will verify against DVSA records.
FORS (Fleet Operator Recognition Scheme)
Increasingly required by major contractors on construction sites. Bronze minimum for most London sites, Silver for some TfL projects.
CLOCS (Construction Logistics and Community Safety)
Required on some London and urban construction sites. BulkMatch will badge CLOCS-compliant operators prominently.
