How to Post a Load

A step-by-step walkthrough of how the load posting flow will work when BulkMatch launches.

Posting a load on BulkMatch will take under 5 minutes. The form is designed to capture exactly what hauliers need to quote accurately — no more, no less. Here's how it will work.

01

Select your material type

Choose from the BulkMatch material library — aggregates, muck-away, potable water, waste, grain, plant and more. The material type determines which compliance filters are applied automatically.

02

Specify the vehicle

Select the vehicle type you need — 8-wheel tipper, artic, grab, tanker, low-loader. BulkMatch will only show the job to hauliers with matching vehicle types.

03

Enter collection and delivery details

Add collection address, delivery address and any site access notes (height restrictions, narrow access, weight limits, opening hours). Hauliers need this to quote accurately.

04

Set compliance requirements

Select any specific compliance requirements — waste carrier registration, FORS, CLOCS, WRAS, ADR. BulkMatch will automatically block hauliers who don't have the required certifications.

05

Choose your pricing mode

Set a target price, use open bidding (hauliers quote their own price), or request a day rate. You can also indicate same-day or scheduled date requirements.

06

Review and post

Review the job summary and confirm. Your load goes live immediately. BulkMatch will notify matching hauliers. You'll receive quote alerts as they come in.

What happens after you post

1

Matching hauliers are notified immediately by email and in-app alert.

2

Hauliers submit their quotes — you see price, compliance profile, rating and job history.

3

You review and accept the best quote. The haulier is confirmed and notified.

4

The job goes live. You can message the haulier directly within the platform.

5

On completion, the haulier uploads proof of delivery (POD) and any required documentation.

6

Leave a rating for the haulier — it helps future shippers make better decisions.

Tips for a good post

  • Include access restrictions in the site notes — a haulier who can't access your site won't quote unless you tell them upfront.
  • Be specific about material classification if you're moving waste — inert, non-hazardous or hazardous changes the compliance requirements and cost.
  • Use the target price field if you have a budget — it helps hauliers decide whether to bid.
  • For multi-load programmes, mention the volume and duration in the notes — hauliers price programmes differently from one-off jobs.
